About me

 

For most of my adult life, my body felt like a problem I was trying to solve.
I gained around 15kg in my 20s, and struggled to take it off for 10 years.
Different diets. Different rules. Different ways of eating (all plant predominant). Punishing workouts.
Different versions of “this time I’ll do it properly”, but I could only seem to last a few weeks at best before I was burnt out and stuffing my face with vegan chocolate biscuits, ice cream and wine for relief.
I was seriously miserable and thought this was just how it was going to have to be.
An accidental 18 months stint in the fitness industry, in my early 30s, helped me get to my ideal body weight & fitness level.
But as I returned to the corporate world, I regained 8-9kg and spent the next 10 years of my life trying to keep the weight off again.
I was fit, healthy, smart, motivated… yet I still couldn’t figure this out. 
Punishing workouts moved maybe 1-2 kg at most. Calorie counting helped for couple of months until I got busy and bored of doing it. 
What I didn’t understand back then was that I wasn’t failing because I lacked discipline.
I was failing because I didn’t understand some fundamental truths about healthy and sustainable fat loss.

The wake-up calls that changed everything

 

A stage 1 melanoma diagnosis in my mid 40s forced me to stop and really look at my health - not just my weight - my whole relationship with my body and with my food.
That was when I found whole foods plant based nutrition, and for the first time, something finally clicked.
Not because it was another set of rules, but because it finally aligned with health, ethics, and sustainability in a way that made sense to me.
The science was clear, the results were predictable, and my body responded fast, losing the last stubborn 6-7kg that I was struggling to shift in peri-menopause.
 
But not just that, my health improved dramatically, including releasing symptoms I’d always been led to believe were “genetic” - like problematic skin and sinuses.

The work beneath the food

 

As my health stabilised, I wanted to help others experience the same shift.
So I studied whole foods plant based nutrition and became a certified health coach, supporting people to improve their health and lose weight through food that actually nourished them.
And for many people, it worked beautifully.
But as I worked with more and more clients, I noticed something I couldn’t ignore.
Some people thrived quickly.
Others knew exactly what to eat - yet felt completely stuck in old habits, self-sabotage, emotional eating, and patterns they felt powerless to change.
That’s when my work began to evolve.
I got certified in life coaching, and deepened my understanding of behaviour change, habit science, the nervous system, and subconscious programming - not because food didn’t matter, but because it wasn’t the full picture.
What I discovered changed everything.
Weight loss wasn’t just about food.
It was about automatic behaviour, learned coping strategies, deeply held beliefs, and a nervous system doing its best to keep people safe.
Layering this work into my coaching helped clients who had felt “stuck for years” finally get unstuck - often seeing results they never believed were possible.
And in the process, it helped me understand my own past struggles with far more clarity and compassion.
Once I saw this, I couldn’t unsee it.

The container I’ve built

 

Everything I’ve learned over the years has been poured into my coaching container.
This is why I work at the level of Body, Mind, and Soul.
 
BUILD
Building simple habits & systems that support fat loss, following the science-backed foundations of whole food, plant-based eating & habit change.
BREAK
Breaking automatic over-eating habits, emotional eating, and reactive patterns that sabotage progress.
BECOME
Stepping intentionally into a future version of yourself and learning how to live as her, consistently and calmly.
 
This isn’t about fixing yourself, it's about understanding yourself at a much deeper level.
It’s powerful, and it changes everything.

Who I work with

 

I work primarily with women 40+ who are:
  • vegan, plant-based, or moving that way
  • feel stuck trying to achieve their desired weight goals
  • tired of dieting or restarting
  • open to looking beneath the surface
  • ready for change that actually lasts
 
You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to be “good at feelings” (most of my clients are not before they come to me).
You just need to be willing to let go and notice what’s been running you.

Why this work matters to me

 

I do this because I know how heavy it feels to live in a body that doesn’t feel familiar or comfortable.
I know the frustration of doing everything “right” and still struggling.
I know the relief that comes when the pieces finally click.
And I know that freedom is possible.
Not through force, not through restriction, but through nourishment, understanding, compassion, and the right tools.
 
That’s the work I do.
